Default The one thing that has always bothered me about Childress...

Is that for this supposedly stand up guy nothing is ever his fault... I have never seen a Coach throw his players and coaches under the bus like this guy does... Most great coaches, even when they are not at fault, accept fault... Nothing is Brad's fault, ever... Comments today like, "I thought there were some good plays called out there..."... How can Zygi not see this?

No Love Boats? Uhhh, there have been arrests, fines, and suspensions a plenty...

Bahh, I am tired of even discussing this issue...

Chili arguably even threw the fans under the bus on KFAN's postgame, referring how good the noise was "from the 32,000 fans here." I'm sure that he just misspoke, but where does 32,000 come from? 64,000 is capacity, 62,000 is the sellout barrier; was he Freudian slipping and implying the place was only half full or that the late ticket buyers aren't committed fans?

And then there's the declining a holding penalty to give the Eagles a mid-range FG rather than accept it to try and push them out of range; running across the formation rather than straight ahead on 3rd & an inch, so defensive penetration killed the play; throwing a bomb on 3rd & 5; punting with 6 minutes left down by 9 points and NOT subsequently using timeouts on defense....the list is endless.

The man is stupid, uninmaginative, and closed-minded, yet stubborn, inflexible, and so egotistical he's blind to any of his own faults, always pinning the blame on everyone else.

Can't Zygi see what a complete crock of a head coach he has? If that embarrassment of a second half wasn't enough, then nothing is...

If Childress returns as the HC for next season then we have our answer about Zygi as well.

More Childress next season = more of the same old mediocrity, and an owner that does not want face reality (or worse cannot see it himself).

There are other reasons for Childress to return:

1. No paying out of additional cash to cover his contract.

2. As I've stated before, Zygi might be seeing the inevitability of moving the franchise. In that case it makes no sense to hire a new guy to be a 2-year "lame duck". Go with the lame scmuck you already have...

Hate to say it but this is looking more and more like the eventual scenario we'll see in 2 seasons time. Vikings leaving Minnesota for greener pastures elsewhere. SIGH what a sad sad thought.
